Business Volunteer Council: "A Community of Businesses Serving the Community"
The Essex-Morris Business Volunteer Council is a collaborative effort of small and large businesses to identify and satisfy the needs of the community through employee volunteerism.
The mission of the Essex-Morris Business Volunteer Council is to mobilize businesses through collaborative volunteer efforts:
- Network and exchange ideas on operating employee volunteer programs
- Combine resources and promote employee volunteering
- Learn about community and nonprofit agency needs
- Organize and conduct multi-company and city-wide volunteer projects to address community needs

In an effort to prepare homebound seniors for emergencies like earthquakes, heat waves, and other natural disasters, Essex-Morris Business Volunteer Council is partnering with Essex & Morris County Meals-on-Wheels to ensure every homebound senior living alone will have emergency supplies on hand. In many emergencies, it may be impossible for one to leave home or for rescuers to arrive promptly. In these cases, it's important to have supplies on hand.
